Life-Like Impressions

KnowledgeByte Main Image

Our client, Anaheim Ducks Hockey Club, wanted to put graphics on their Team Store windows for the playoffs. Working with the designers at Honda Center, ideas were discussed and a production method was developed. The goal was to show highlight the “#PaintItOrange” playoff theme and have the graphic color on appear on both the inside and the outside of the store windows.

Using 3M 180C-114, a clear adhesive vinyl, paint drips were printed on our OCE direct to board printer using a Color-White-Color print mode. Each panel was sized to fit on each window. Over 21 panels were created to decorate the windows to look very life-like with paint dripping down the windows. Many compliments were received for how real the graphics looked.

All of us at Photomation are shocked and saddened by the sudden loss of our sister-in-law Peggy Hesketh. We dedicate this space to her memory today.

Bold Impressions

KnowledgeByte Main Image

Our client, KAYGEN, wanted to add their logo to their main lobby. Working with Photomation president Charlene Hesketh, design ideas were discussed and material options were presented. Once a final layout was approved, the project moved into production.

Using 1″ thick acrylic on our AXYZ router, each letter was cut for the KAYGEN portion of the logo. The edges were sanded to give a nice, soft look to the finished design. Red was added to the rear of each letter creating more depth when you see the logo up close. For the tagline, ½″ acrylic material was cut on our router and a light gray color was added to the back of each letter.

Each letter was precisely place by our expert installer using a paper template. The installation was completed in less than two hours. Visitors to KAYGEN headquarters will now see the bold impression their new acrylic logo presents.
