Celebrating 10 years of Knowledge Bytes

KnowledgeByte Main Image

With today’s edition, we celebrate our 10th year of weekly posts showcasing our client’s visions being turned into reality. From creating casts around pillars to installing wallcovering on concave ceilings, the range of work we have had the privilege to produce has stretched us to use technology and imagination to find the right solution to each client’s need.

Each project has unique needs that need to be met. We listen to what our client needs, talk with them about ideas and options to enhance their project or save them money, and then create a plan to help them achieve their goals.

Our breadth of experience working with a wide variety of clients allows us to help them achieve award-winning results and receive the accolades of their peers and bosses.

We love what we do and we look forward to helping you achieve great results for another ten years. Give us a call on your next project. We are happy to help.

Dimensional Impressions

KnowledgeByte Main Image

Our client, Partners Federal Credit Union, wanted to create dimensional displays highlighting upcoming Disney movies. Working with their Photomation Account Executive, Francisco Flores, graphics were selected and displays with different depths were developed.

At one branch, an 84″× 40″ background graphic was created and the cut-out image of the Black Panther head was floated on top of it. Mounted to ½″ black gator board, the background was a matte finish. The Black Panther image was printed on glossy material and floated 1″ away from the background using see-through polished acrylic blocks. The lettering on the matte surface background image was cut from glossy material to allow the text to “jump” off the page.

At a second branch, a 48″× 48″ graphic was created using the same mounting and finishing techniques mentioned above.

Each graphic was pre-assembled at our shop to confirm fit and finish. Once our installers took them to the branch, installation only took about 15 minutes per piece.

Do you have a need to create a dimensional display in your lobby? If so, give us a call. We’d be happy to bring your vision to reality.

Wayfinding Directories

Our client, St. Joseph Hospital, needed to update the directories throughout their facility. After discussing new design options, artwork was created and approved for production.

Each directory consists of varying quantities of non-glare acrylic slats on a clear acrylic backer that is attached directly to the wall. Each slat and backer was precision cut on our AXYZ router, then the appropriate color and text was applied to each slat.

Assembly of the directories required careful placement of each slat while leaving the countersunk screw holes accessible for installation. The unapplied slats were installed on-site, after the directory was installed on the wall. Installation was performed by our professional installer. The first phase of the directory renovation is now complete.

Do you need wayfinding signs for your office or facility? If so, give us a call. We’d be happy to bring your vision to reality.

Credible Impressions

Our client, Dawson & Dawson, an executive staffing company, is in the middle of a major office renovation, including wallcovering, signage and dimensional lettering. The phase recently completed involves a word wall with dimensional lettering.

This project started with the client providing a list of words they wanted to see on their wall. The words reflect the company’s commitment to their employees and clients. Our task was to arrange those words to create a word wall. Multiple rounds of designs were required to capture exactly what the client was looking to convey. Once approved, the order was submitted to production.

Floor to ceiling word wall graphics were printed on 3M 180C with 8520 lam. The dimensional lettering was made from 1/4″ acrylic with a blue vinyl backing. VHB tape was added to the back for installation. Using a paper template, the letters were placed in position to create the final product you see above.

All of the graphical enhancements we have added over the past few weeks have helped Dawson & Dawson tell their company’s story. Do you have a story you need to tell about your company? If so, give us a call. We’d be happy to bring your vision to reality.
