Introducing Dye Sublimation Services

KnowledgeByte Main Image

Our newest addition to our product and services line up is Dye-Sublimation prints. Dye-sub prints are made by using special dyes printed on transfer paper, then sandwiching the paper to the substrate. Using heat and pressure the image on the paper is infused under the surface of the material. We are able to print on aluminum, dry erase, MDF, hardboard, wood and plastic. We can make prints as large as 40″× 60″.

These images are unique in their look and application. The process yields images that are archival, designed to last generations. The colors are vibrant and have an increased color gamut beyond traditional color prints. The surface of the dye-sub products is resistant to scratches and abrasion. These images are chemical resistant and can be cleaned by any glass cleaner. Dye-sub products are also water resistant.

We are excited to introduce our new dye-sub printing capabilities. In the coming weeks, look for more information on our newest line of imaging products. Next week we will discuss the range of Metal Prints we can make using dye-sublimation!

History Made Every Day

KnowledgeByte Main Image

Our client, Partners Federal Credit Union, wanted to emphasize to their membership the history with The Walt Disney Company at a new branch they were opening in Anaheim, Ca. Working with their Photomation Account Executive, Francisco Flores, concepts were shown and a final design was approved.

Large wall graphics were printed on Mystical wallcovering to create a backdrop to showcase oversized acrylic displays containing historical images of Walt Disney and Disneyland.

Using ½″ thick acrylic with polished edges, the displays were printed on a clear film and applied to the acrylic. The transparency of the image to show the background image is what makes this graphic so beautiful.

The iconic images of Walt and Mickey holding hands strolling through Disneyland and the Sleeping Beauty’s Castle were selected to tie in the more than 50 year heritage of Partners Federal Credit Union and The Walt Disney Company. Partners is truly Cast Members serving Cast Members, creating a genuine bond and commitment to service that no other financial institution can match.
