Honoring The Fallen

KnowledgeByte Main Image

No matter where this holiday weekend finds you, at a picnic, at a parade, in front of a TV watching the Indy 500 or the Memorial Golf Tournament, or at a cemetery remembering a loved one, let us stop and honor the reason we have this extra time off.

A tradition that dates back to the Civil War days, Memorial Day is where we stop, as a country, to remember those who have fallen in service to our country. We are grateful for all the men and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.

We also want to pause and recognize the brave men and women in uniform wherever they may be deployed. Thank you for your service.

In recognition of the holiday, our office will be closed on Monday, May 30th.

Temporary Construction Signs

KnowledgeByte Main Image

Our client, Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Hospital, is undergoing a complete renovation of it’s Downey facility. New construction is ongoing while the hospital continues to function at full capacity. Guiding patients and visitors around the campus during the progress of construction requires temporary signage to help navigate the square block facility.

Using 3M 180C with 8519 lam, we create signs to apply to DiBond boards. The signs are then attached to the garage structure or to free-standing, movable stands. Using arrows that can be rotated, these temporary construction signs have helped to improve pedestrian traffic flow and improve safety.

Do you need temporary signage for a construction project you are about ready to commence? If so, give us a call. We’ll be glad to help you down the right path. We are Photomation — Imagination Thrives Here™

Box Cleats

KnowledgeByte Main Image

There are many ways to hang photographs for display on the wall. One of the more popular ways is to use Box Cleats. This hanging method involves the joining of cleating material inside the perimeter of a mounted photo. The resulting “Box” is why they are called Box Cleats.

Box Cleats help to minimize the slight sagging or warping that can occur with some of the materials used to mount photos. Changes in temperature and humidity can accentuate this condition so we often recommend Box Cleats for large mounted photos. Images that combine multiple types of materials, such as face-mounted plexiglass with a sintra backer, are also good candidates for Box Cleats.

Made from wood that has been cut at a 45 degree angle, Box Cleats use a separate cleat that is attached to the wall to interlock the angled wood and allow for a good, secure picture hanging device. Box Cleats can be left in their natural wood color or they can be painted either black or white to match the color of the material the cleats are attached to.

For more information on Box Cleats or other ways to hang images on your wall, call the experts at Photomation. We’ll be glad to help you.

Campaign Starter

KnowledgeByte Main Image

Our client, Mission Hospital, needed help to kick off an employee appreciation campaign. They wanted to communicate their message in an area that all employees would see…the employee parking structure.

Working with Photomation President, Charlene Hesketh, we designed the message they wanted then printed and installed the graphics. Using banner and adhesive vinyl material, installation was done by our crew. The project and the campaign were off to a great start.

Do you have an event you want to promote? Give us a call. We can show you how graphics can help communicate your message to your target audience. We are Photomation — Imagination Thrives Here™
