Welcoming Graphic

KnowledgeByte Main Image

Did I tell you we are rabid Anaheim Ducks fans? We love our Ducks and love the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. Not only do we love our team, they are also our client.

Our client, Anaheim Ducks Hockey Club, needed graphics to welcome fans to the arena. Using an 80′ long marble archway, we installed a graphic to enhance the arena entrance.

The file was submitted and divided up to create panels for printing and installation. Each panel was trimmed, labeled and packaged for delivery to the job site.

Installed over 20′ up in the air, our installation crew used a scissor lift to set each of the 17 panels required to complete this project. This graphic is easily seen from Katella avenue and serves as a way to welcome all arriving fans for this year’s playoff games. Let’s Go Ducks!

It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

KnowledgeByte Main Image

OK, we must confess, we are rabid Anaheim Ducks fans. We love our Ducks and love the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs. It IS the most wonderful time of the year! Not only do we love our team, they are also our client.

Our client, Anaheim Ducks Hockey Club, needed graphics to adorn their arena in anticipation of the start of the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. While we did many graphics for the post season, in this Knowledge Byte we will talk about the image you see above. This graphic uses over 5,000 square feet of material.

From the artwork supplied by the Ducks, we overlay it onto a template we have created for this 45′ radius semicircle window. From there individual sections are created and those files are printed. After production, the rolls are trimmed and organized to help our installers put the graphic up quickly.

A team of 5 installers using three boom lifts performs a choreographed dance that fills each window with a mosaic of vinyl that creates the overall image you see above. Installation takes a day and begins after sunrise and ends just before sundown. This signature graphic sets the mood for the Ducks run towards winning the Stanley Cup. It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

Writing on the Wall

KnowledgeByte Main Image

Our client, Amway, called their Photomation Account Manager, Mike Mertz, and asked about creating some special dimensional lettering.

Mike, along his Production Coordinator Karen Adkins, met our client in their newly refurbished offices. They reviewed and measured the area that needed the lettering. Details were confirmed and an Illustrator file was sent in for production.

Our production staff set-up the files and sent them to production. We made ½″ Sintra letters with a stainless steel face, painted the edges and applied 3M permanent adhesive tape to adhere them to the wall. A template was cut and we sent our craftsman out to install the finished product.

Dimensional lettering adds depth to signage and really draws attention to what you want your clients or staff to see. If you need dimensional lettering in your office or lobby, give us a call. We’ll be glad to help you see the writing on the wall.

Upgraded Senior Citizen Center

Our client, City of Buena Park Senior Center, approached their Photomation Account Manager, Mike Mertz, and asked for recommendations to add custom wall covering inside their Center.

Mike advised the client about file preparation and visited the location to take accurate measurements. After talking to their designer, the client submitted a file for proofs. Our digital team reviewed the file, scaled it to add the necessary bleed, and printed an approval for the client sign-off.

Upon approval, the file went into production. The job entailed printing multiple panels on Terra Decorus™ Type II wall covering. After going through a quality check, Mike scheduled installation.

Our professional installers arrived early and finished installation prior to the rush of week-day visitors. Buena Park City executives were thrilled with the results.

When you need to upgrade or enhance your environment, call the professionals at Photomation. We would be glad to help you!
