Artful Exhibition

KnowledgeByte Main Image

Our client, Southern California artist Naida Osline, wanted something different for her photographs for exhibition. She asked Photomation to print her latest work from her Men Series on the smooth surface of Moab Entrada paper using our new Epson 9900 large format printer.

After a few rounds of color interpretation with Photomation artist liaison John Hesketh, the large but delicate prints were simply displayed on the museum walls using only rare earth magnets placed at the prints corners. The large borders give the artist flexibility and options for displaying now or framing later.

In addition to the smooth surface Moab Entrada paper that works well for photographs, Photomation also offers textured artist papers available for art reproductions of other mediums such as watercolor or lithography.

Naida’s work is currently on display through July 6 at the Riverside Art Museum and starting May 5 though July 17 at CSUF’s Grand Central Gallery in Santa Ana. To find out more about the artist, visit her website at

Building Better Graphics

KnowledgeByte Main Image

Our client, Samsung, called upon their Photomation Account Manager, Mike Mertz, to help incorporate some of their world-wide construction structures into an art-form for their new Americas Corporate offices. Mike worked closely with their marketing staff to choose inspiring images and highlight many of their completed projects.

Photomation printed these large images on Metallic Photo paper using our high resolution Lightjet laser printer. These artworks were then mounted to a second surface acrylic and back mounted to black PVC Sintra and the edges were sanded and polished. The result was incredible artwork that appeared to be floating in glass. Before delivery, our expert staff added an inset hanging device to the back side of each piece.

To identify each Samsung image, a gallery tag made in the same acrylic formula was produced. Photomation’s installers delivered and installed all these images and met the customer’s open-house deadline.

If you need some artwork to decorate your office or lobby, give us a call. We’ll be glad to bring your vision to reality.

Jammin’ in Ontario

KnowledgeByte Main Image

Our client, Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California, asked us to help them prepare a large-scale image for a wall within the arena commemorating the historic California-Jam music festival that occurred on that site in the April 1974.

The arena had obtained newspaper clippings that highlighted the event that included performances by Deep Purple, Emerson, Lake and Palmer, the Eagles, Earth, Wind and Fire, Seals and Crofts, and many others. The event attracted over 250,000 fans and was a record attendance for a musical event at that time. The arena management wanted us to convert that two-page newspaper spread into a wall mural (10 foot by 6 foot). Using 3M 180C with 8519 lamination the mural became a larger-than-life representation of the article featuring the rock event that was considered one of the most financially successful musical festivals of that era.

The arena is focusing on a series of wall murals to celebrate the rich local history of events and activities that have occurred where the arena now sits. Other projects supported by Photomation at the arena include images of the Ontario International Speedway and the Italian Vineyard Company. We encourage you to visit Citizens Business Bank Arena to enjoy the historic journey of Ontario’s past.
