New From Down Under

KnowledgeByte Main Image

Our client, Solagex America, has newly arrived in North America. The solar energy products company, headquarted in Australia, needed graphics for their local grand opening. They called upon their Photomation Account Manager, Mike Mertz, to help design and produce a variety of corporate branding and information signs for their Southern California offices, training and demo rooms.

Full-color vinyl logos were imaged, laminated, die-cut and installed on their entry doors. In their lobby, we created and produced three-dimensional logos and a tag-line message for their lobby. Photomation digitally die-cut all the materials on Sintra and installed them. In their training room, a six-foot version was produced with a stainless steel face and die-cut.

In addition, our team produced eight large graphics to provide detailed information in their training room. The prints were printed on our Lightjet photo printer for ultimate clarity and the highest quality. The prints were laminated for protection then mounted to gator board for easy installation. We met their deadlines and they opened without delay.

Solagex is a renewable energy company with a unique vision to create effective sustainable energy technology in the areas of generation and consumption without compromise to lifestyle.

Celebrating 100 Years of Flight

KnowledgeByte Main Image

Our client, Long Beach Airport, has been expanding its terminals and parking structures as part of an overall expansion plan for the easy-to-access airport. When it came time for the grand opening of the multilevel parking structure, Kim McMahon of the Airport Public Affairs office, called her Photomation Account Executive, Francisco Flores for help in creating signage for the event.

Our challenge was to create a special 15′×29′ banner entitled, “Celebrating 100 Years of Flight”, and display it on the outside of the parking structure without drilling into it and voiding the warranty provided by the construction company. The solution was to use special cable system and hardware that allowed us to safely and securely hang the banner.

To add more style to the grand opening event, we printed multiple teardrop banners to add color for all the guests to see upon their arrival.  The entire event went very well and was a great way to recognize the grand opening of the new parking structure and to celebrate 100 years of flight at the Long Beach Airport.

Ultimate Game Room Showcase

KnowledgeByte Main Image

Our client, an interior designer, came to us with a challenge.  She needed us to design, produce and install two wall graphics spanning over forty feet and create the ultimate game room. Working with her Photomation Account Manager, Mike Mertz, the two of them met with her client, measured the space, took photos, and translated concepts to design.

Our VP, Digital Imaging and Graphic Services, Brian Mundy, purchased the images from a photographer and made several versions for proofing. We composed and blended twelve photographic elements together and created a sunset effect to create this stunning Las Vegas skyline.

After client approval, Photomation printed these wall graphics on 3M 180Cv3 vinyl print material, laminated the surface and organized these wall graphics for our expert installers to hang.

The homeowner was very pleased with the final look and feel of the room. The result is an ultimate game room showcase.
