Golfing for Kids

KnowledgeByte Main Image

Our client, Kiewit Infrastructure West Co. - Southern California office, needed help in creating graphics for a charity classic golf tournament they were conducting to raise over $100,000 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, CHOC and CHLA Kids.

Working with tournament chair, Gary Sitler and tournament coordinators Meriam Harvey and Rob Signorile, we were able to provide tee sponsor graphics, directional signage, custom golf pin flags and banners for this fundraising tournament. In addition, we also provided a frame that included an Anaheim Ducks jersey, puck and photo for their silent auction.

The Saturday golfing event had over 260 golfers on both courses at the Pacific Palms Resort in the City of Industry, Ca. Kiewit’s Photomation Account Executive, Ralph Love, as well as company President, Charlene Hesketh, volunteered as golf bag handlers and as helpers for the on-course fundraising activities.

We were pleased that the event was a big success and happy we could volunteer for this day of golf and fundraising.

This event was more than just a fundraiser – it was meant to raise awareness about the needs of the children at CHOC and CHLA. To find out more about the great work going on at these hospitals click on the links below:

Helping AYSO Achieve Goals

KnowledgeByte Main Image

Our client, American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO), was featured here a few weeks ago when they moved into new headquarters and we helped to tell their story through graphics on their walls. Well, that story continues this week with dimensional lettering and acrylic frames with standoffs.

Working with AYSO’s Jill Meshekow, Director, Human Resources/Safe Haven and Jennifer Kaye, Manager of Digital Media/Graphic Design, their Photomation Account Executive, Francisco Flores, helped them bring this part of their vision into reality.

In the lobby, we installed ¼″ thick Sintra dimensional lettering with a brushed aluminum metal face. Next, we face mounted graphics to ½″ thick clear acrylic and added a ¼″ thick blue acrylic backer that are one inch larger than the face graphic. All edges were beveled and flame polished to add depth and dimension to the finished piece. These graphics were installed with brushed aluminum finished stand offs in each corner.

For the President’s Wall, we put up ½″ thick Sintra lettering with a brushed aluminum metal face. The picture of the AYSO President was face mounted to ½″ thick clear acrylic with a ¼″ thick blue acrylic backer that was 1.5″ larger than the clear acrylic. These pieces were also beveled and flame polished to enhance their appearance. The name and term the President served was added using brushed aluminum cut vinyl lettering. Standoffs were used to attach the graphic to the wall.

The end result was an impressive set of displays that have received many compliments from the visitors to the new AYSO headquarters building. We are proud that we could help AYSO achieve their goals.
