KnowledgeByte Main Image

People had flown in from around the country to attend. The Diamond Ballroom in the JW Marriott at LA Live was decorated and ready for an incredible event…the NEWH 25th Anniversary Gala. Oh, what a night!

NEWH is the premier networking resource for the hospitality industry, providing scholarships, education, leadership development, recognition of excellence, and business development opportunities. was pleased to be a sponsor and host a table at the silver anniversary event. Our company donated several graphics including the backdrop used to take guest’s “Red Carpet” pictures. Displays honoring all the event sponsors and a large 12′×16′ banner were also part of our contribution to the evening’s décor.

While dinner was being served, a DVD honoring the worldwide chapters of NEWH was played as well as a DVD recognizing the students who received a combined $31,500 in NEWH scholarships. Both discs were authored by Brian Mundy, our VP of Digital Imaging and Graphic Services.

Celebrity impersonators were the center of the night’s entertainment and dancing continued until late into the evening. Oh, what a night!

Record Breaking Graphics

KnowledgeByte Main Image

Our client, Paine PR, asked us to output graphics for American Suzuki’s record-breaking Kizashi Bonneville Special. We worked closely with Paine PR to ensure that all of the logos and graphics fit into the indicated areas.

The graphics were a combination of cut vinyl and 3M 180C 4-color graphics. We were supplied with carefully constructed layouts — this helped us greatly when we began the two-day installation. The graphics were applied while the vehicle was still being outfitted with its new 507 horsepower motor, new suspension and roll cage.

Road & Track’s Sam Mitani set a record of 203 mph in the blown gas coupe (F-BGC) category on August 18th at the Bonneville Salt Flats.  Whether at freeway speeds or record-breaking speeds, we can create graphics that set you apart from the rest of the pack.

A Touch of Elegance

KnowledgeByte Main Image

Our client, St Joseph Hospital Foundation, recently moved into their new offices in Orange. Photomation was asked to come up with lettering options for their new lobby. Working with their Account Executive, Ralph Love, the Foundation staff were shown lettering options available to them. Measurements of the wall were taken to determine the size of lettering that would best suit their lobby wall.

To help the client visualize the final installation, we printed and taped up a two dimensional graphic in their lobby so that all of the staff could see what the lettering would look like. We took this extra step because we wanted to make sure that they were completely happy with the size of the lettering for this particular space.

One of the great things that we offer at Photomation is a virtually endless combination of colors, finishes and materials for our dimensional letters. For this application, the foundation chose a very elegant brushed metal vinyl veneer for their lettering. They also chose 1/4″ black Sintra as the backing material. To help ensure that the lettering and logo would go on straight and level, we created a cardboard template as a guide for positioning each letter.

This new lettering makes a dramatic difference when entering the Foundation’s lobby. It really brings a touch of elegance to what was formerly a plain wall.
